Wedding memories come alive at Magnum Video Productions (MVP), 1140 Burnt Tavern Road in Brick. With the very latest technology and talented videographers recording the precious events of the day, MVP co-owners Keith and Frank Signorile put their hearts and souls into their spectacular cinematic productions.
"Everything connected with the wedding is lovingly recorded, not only for viewing in the near future, but to be watched and enjoyed years from now," explains Frank Signorile, who along with brother Keith, has pursued the latest and most creative ways of capturing milestone occasions for more than 20 years.
Styles vary, faces change, and, unfortunately, loved ones leave us. The true joy of viewing a quality cinematic production with multiple camera shoots is that you can experience the events of the day, as well as all the people involved in the event, as though this movie was made exclusively for you and your loved ones.
There are more angles and perspectives when using a multi-camera approach to filming. The Signorile brothers, both film buffs, borrowed this technique of "overshooting" from legendary directors such as Orson Wells, Alfred Hitchcock, and Stanley Kubrick - using approximately 50 percent more videotape per wedding than most videographers. Following the shoot, the brothers spend an additional 40 hours editing - choosing the very best shots and footage to create a production worthy of the "big screen."
The filming begins at the place of dressing and will include the bride, her family, and her bridesmaids as they prepare for the romantic event that awaits them. The MVP photo team will also take posed portraits of the bride, her family, and the bridesmaids.
From there the team moves to the location where the ceremony will take place, recording the groom, groomsmen, and the groom's parents. Next, the bride, the procession down the aisle, and all the precious moments of the ceremony are unobtrusively filmed. Abiding by the rules and guidelines for filming where the ceremony will take place, this footage will be meticulously edited later on to create a storybook memory.
Later, there are shoots at traditional scenic spots such as the beach or park, where bridal parties are captured in a candid, entertaining fashion, then on to the reception, where the Magnum Video Production team adapts their two- or three-camera technique and crafts various views and interesting perspectives to capture the warmth, laughter, and emotion that comes with celebrations.
In addition to the enlightened technique of multi-camera cinematography, MVP uses the latest digital technology and software programs, offering enough possibilities in perspectives and special effects to create an Oscar-worthy, vivid wedding production. The black and white images mixed with color, sepia tones, background changes and alterations, and the variety of scenes make one-of-a-kind, incomparable memories.
"Just as each event is unique unto itself, the cinematic production will also be unique," says Frank Signorile. "We do one wedding at a time and focus solely on that one event. We never, ever, film two weddings on the same day."
The result of all this hard work and creativity is a timeless memory that will enchant wedding couples and their families for the rest of their lives.
